Quim Masferrer is 'El Foraster' (The Outsider), a stand-up comedian on the road who travels through Catalonia in search of the human landscape of its towns under a thousand in population. Each episode brings a new town, and with each town a new challenge: to perform a stand-up routine before the residents, one that is personalized and tailored to each town and its inhabitants. Quim Masferrer is given just 48 hours to meet as many people as he can. He then brings all the residents together in the town theater to reveal his particular vision on what he’s discovered. Everyone is there and each one could appear in his routine at any given moment. For a few seconds, they get to be the center of attention of all their neighbors.
